Meet the Healing Horses at High Country Healing in Alberta

Partners in healing.
Mirrors for your soul.

At High Country Healing, the horses are more than companions. They are co-facilitators in every sense of the word. Each horse carries its own energy, healing gift, and ability to hold space in a way that feels safe, honest, and deeply calming.

When you step into a session with a horse, you're not just showing up for healing. You're entering into a relationship with a wise and grounded teacher. The horses reflect what you're carrying and gently reveal what you're ready to release.

Why Horses?

Horses are fully present.

They respond to energy, not appearances or words.
They see beneath the surface. They call your bullshit.

That’s what makes them such powerful mirrors for human emotion. They help people drop the act and reconnect with what’s real. When you're with them, it's easier to feel, to notice, and to let go.

Whether you meet them in person or connect through a virtual session, you’ll feel the shift.

Our Healing Herd

Each horse in our herd has a unique personality and healing presence. Some are nurturing and gentle. Others are bold and direct. All are deeply intuitive and part of the energetic fabric of this work.

In each session, Mandy tunes in and selects the horse that is the best fit for your current needs. You don't have to choose. You just have to show up and trust the process.

Bullseye.jpg

Bullseye

The Distinguished Gentleman

Bullseye is sensitive to his age, so we don’t call him old — we call him wise. He’s experienced, affectionate, and carries a grounded, steady presence. With a heart full of love, he brings calm to any space and is one of the most naturally gifted healers in the herd.

Diesel (in memory of)

The Truth-Teller

Diesel doesn’t do subtle. If you’re not listening, he’ll make sure you do. (He’s even been known to give a gentle head-bonk when he thinks you’re missing the point.) He’s direct, honest, and deeply tuned in — perfect for those who need a little energetic nudge to face what’s next. Diesel passed unexpectedly in the spring of 2025. His lessons have left a lasting effect on High Country Healing.

Fox

The Beautiful One

Fox sees himself as the Fabio of the pasture — and honestly, he’s not wrong. He’s charming, affectionate, and thrives on being adored. If you’re craving softness, love, or lightness in your healing, Fox is happy to show up with his flowing mane and a heart wide open.

Sassy.jpg

Sassy

The Grief Whisperer

Sassy has walked through real loss. After the heartbreak of losing foals, she spent time in deep healing — and now offers that wisdom to others. Her presence is calm, grounded, and understanding. She knows how to hold space for sorrow and make it safe to release.

Kat.jpg

Kat

The Nurturer

Kat was born to be a mother. She leads with care and instinctively wraps others in warmth, whether they’re her foal or not. Protective, loving, and endlessly nurturing, Kat brings comfort to those who need to feel held, seen, and safe.

Peanut.jpg

Peanut

The Character

Peanut was a late baby the year she was born and thus her name. However, she didn’t let our silly name dictate her lot in life. She is a big horse with a big character! She’s the kind of horse that will go head thump a coyote that dared to be in her sacred space or destroy an obstacle at an obstacle challenge. Because, why was that damn thing in her way anyways?! We can all be a little more like Peanut, learning boundaries by respecting our space and removing obstacles that have no need to be there!
